Teachers are engage in 3 modules during a total of six Teacher Knowledge Sharing Rounds. Module (1) focuses on the backgrounds and psychological needs of children with a refugee and immigrant status, whereas Module (2) focuses on the academic language of mathematics, and the integration of collaborative learning, play and drama in mathematics teaching, the Module (3) focuses on refugee/immigrant families’ perspectives and their engagement in their children’s education. All modules are prepared in line with teacher needs emerges during the progress of the project. Again, according to the content of each module, the lesson plan and course materials were shared with the teachers, and the planning of family mathematics workshops was also made in these sessions.

TKSR 1

Carried out in TED University, Ankara (with teachers who participated from Istanbul and Ankara) on December, 16, 2017; and in HasanKalyoncu University, Hatay (with teachers who participated from Hatay, Gaziantep and Sanliurfa) on December, 23, 2017.

The TKSR 2 event was carried out in TED University, Ankara (with teachers who participated from Ankara) on March, 24, 2018; and in Hasan Kalyoncu University, Hatay (with teachers who participated from Hatay, Gaziantep and Sanliurfa) on April, 14, 2018.

The TKSR 3 event was carried out in Hasan Kalyoncu University, Gaziantep (with teachers who participated from Hatay, Gaziantep and Sanliurfa) on June 3, 2018; and in TED University, Ankara (with teachers who participated from Ankara) on June, 9, 2018.
