Model Teaching

The project staff and teachers, drawing on classroom teaching experience and mathematics training, carries out model teaching in line with sample lesson plans with multimodal mathematics curriculum materials that are based on peer learning, play and drama, where the academic language of mathematics is used meaningfully.

In all levels considered within the scope of the project (Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade) the project staff taught a demonstration lesson in the classrooms of the project teachers in line with the prepared lesson plans, and the processes recorded on video. The teachers observed the demonstration lessons and followed the process using the observation forms that were prepared beforehand. The demonstration lesson was analyzed together with teachers considering the effective and less effective aspects.
